Where Did I Disappear To This Time?

These kind of posts are becoming quite common on this little blog ain't they?

I definitely need to work on keeping you guys updated in the moment rather waiting what seems like half a year to tell you where I've been but this is me we're talking about and it wouldn't be me without a big update post.

So where did I leave you guys... let's go back to the end of 2017, I had so much going on that I never really had a chance to talk because life got hectic. I just never really had the time to sit down and chat but basically the last few weeks of December were filled with spending Christmas in Cuba, leaving a job, starting a new job, moving cities for 6 weeks to moving again to now where I finally feel in a place I can set aside some time to actually breathe.

As I said I spent Christmas in Cuba with my mum which was one of the best experiences in my life. I'm not going to lie, it did feel a little strange getting a tan when I should be bundled up in my knitwear and boots but it was so relaxing, the hotel was lovely and the staff were so accommodating. I had plans to tell you about my trip and give you some tips but as soon as I touched back down into England I had 48 hours to pack up my life and head down to London! (If you guys are interested in hearing about my tips for Cuba, then let me know I can still write up a post). So I hope you don't mind me telling you everything that's been happening, now...

One thing I never mentioned when I was away was that I was offered an amazing job which I just couldn't refuse which started on 2nd January which is where I'm at now. So it was bye bye bridal and hello to living out of a suitcase again, your girl is back on tour! If you've seen this post you will know I've done a job like this before so when I was asked if I'd do it again I jumped at the chance! January to now has involved moving to two cities, getting the show set up and readjusting back into life on tour. I know, it sounds weird because how can it possibly take me this long to settle into a job but any of you have worked in theatre or do a lot of travelling with work then you'll know where I'm coming from.

It's only now I'm finally starting to feel like I'm getting some breathing space and can actually start enjoying my blog so I'm slowly starting to get myself back into it as I have missed it. I'm still waiting for my schedule to be finalised but other than that I'm happy and loving what I'm doing right now.

Whilst I've been away I've been throwing myself into my haircare. If you guys are OG subscribers to my youtube channel then you will know I went natural about 5 or so years now and between that time I've relaxed, cut it, relaxed it so more, chopped it off, became the extensions queen, got into wigs and now I've come back full circle to my natural hair again. Now I'm not going to lie to you but I haven't been treating my hair with the utmost respect it deserves up until the beginning of the year when I showed to really get back into caring for it, deep conditioning every time I wash it, using low manipulation styles and just being nicer to it. The biggest breakthrough though has to be the new products I discovered on a whim (don't you just love it when that happens), my hair has been loving its life and I couldn't be happier!

As for my finances.... surprisingly for me, it's actually coming along pretty well. There are still areas that I need to work on but I'm currently only 3 months into it so it's still far from perfect. I have found some really helpful ways to stop me spending unnecessarily and really think about where my money is going. I can do a little post on how I'm managing my money if you guys are interested.

Apart from that, I've become obsessed with Pinterest, I'm constantly scanning Rightmove for houses and I can actually look at my bank account without wanting to run for the hills so all in all that has to be a good thing right?

I have a few ideas I want to share with you, I just hope it's not going to take me this long to get them to you. I have missed you and I'll see you all soon.

Until the next post...
