Mad Hatter's Afternoon Tea at The Sanderson

At the end of August, I hopped on a train to London for my annual meet up with two of my oldest blogging/Youtube friends Brogan & Lucy. As we all live at opposite ends of the country we always try to set aside a date in the diary to see each other and catch up as it was mine and Lucy's birthdays in August, it was the perfect occasion for a long overdue catch-up.
We thought we'd done something different this time and go for a spot of afternoon tea and after many whatsapp messages we decided on The Sanderson hotel for The Mad Hatter afternoon tea and we weren't disappointed.

The hotel itself is gorgeous! The staff were lovely! The whole place was totally instagrammable! As we were celebrating two birthdays, they very kindly sat us at a table that was tucked away surrounded by plants, perfect for all the photos as it was nice and private!

Everything was just so nice! The menu was presented in a  lovely storybook which fit the theme perfectly! We had a glass of champagne each and had a lovely selection of teas to choose from.

I have had a couple of afternoon teas in my time and I definitely have to say that this one has been my favourites! Everything about it just followed the Alice theme wonderfully, even down to the crockery! It was just so lovely to spend time with my girls and not feel rushed at all!

The Menu...

Smoked Salmon Scotch Quails Egg with Caviar and Cream Cheese

Stack of King of Hearts Ham and Parmesan Croque-Monsieur

Cornish Crab Bridge Roll with Dill, Lemon, Creme Fraiche and Avocado

White Rabbit Cucumber and Cream Cheese Sandwich on Pesto Bread

Queen of Hearts Rose and Strawberry Jammy Dodger

Mocha Cheeseboard Gateau

Tweedle Dee Lemon Curd Financier

Mad March Hare Vanilla Pocket Macaroon

Chocolate and Pistachio Blue Caterpillar

Wonderland Marshmallow Magic Mushrooms

Mad Hatters Lost Carrot and Fennel Meringue

Alice's Cinnamon, Apple and Peach "Drink Me" Potion

Sanderson's Warm Scones Served With
Cornish Clotted Cream and Fruit Preserves

At £48 or £58 with a glass of fizz, I would 110% recommend this afternoon tea! I honestly couldn't fault a thing! It was a perfect afternoon with to my two friends and I couldn't ask for more really.
The setting was beautiful, the atmosphere was lovely, just a great day out with my friends!

You can book here for a great afternoon of tea and Disney magic!
