Fenty Beauty By Rihanna

Heidi hi!!!

Does this post really need an introduction? Fenty Beauty is all over the internet at the moment. Everyone is reviewing it on Youtube and snapping it on insta so I thought I'd share my thoughts with you on this collection here.

If you haven't heard of Fenty Beauty then it's the collection that has been recently released by Rihanna. The collection consists of 40, yes you heard me correctly, 40 shades of foundation as well as highlighters, contours sticks, concealers heck even a few brushes too just for good measure!

If you know me then you will know I'm not a huge makeup wearer and when I do, I like to look as natural as possible so when I heard about Fenty, I was intrigued and just had to head to Harvey Nichols to take a look.
A look and £88.00 later, I came away with a few bits to try out. I've had these products for just over a week now and these are my thoughts.

The main reason I wanted to try the collection was for the foundation. I was in the market for a new one as my current foundation wasn't lasting through the day and the oil levels.... don't even get me started - oil slick!

As I mentioned, there are 40 shades of foundation in this collection so I didn't have any trouble finding a shade for me. I was matched to 390, which is the darkest shade in the "tan" section - if you're looking at the foundations online, and it's a pretty good match to my skin.

This foundation claims to be long wearing, soft matte and give a medium to full coverage. After wearing I can say it definitely lives up to those claims! At £26, it's one of the best foundations I used to date.

I have oily skin and it keeps me oil free for hours! It's weightless, which is amazing for a matte foundation - trust me I was expecting it to feel heavy on my skin but it shooked me, in a good way!

I'm going to honest with you, I was only going to the contour and highlight after having it applied by the makeup artist but she convinced me to get the trio as technically it was more cost-effective. Priced at £46, it did make sense as for the contour and highlight would have been £42 for the two.

Packaged in a really cute, off pinkish packaging which is also magnetic - oh yeah, magnetic baby!

I'm going to chat about each one separately

Concealer in Caramel - I'm just gonna put it out there, I'm a fan of the liquid concealer as I just feel like it's easier to blend and I'm all about the easy makeup life. I've never really gotten on with stick concealers in the past but hi, why not give it another go.
If I'm honest I've not really used this product too much after the first initial use as it didn't really give me the coverage I need, especially under my eyes.
On the plus side, it is pretty creamy and easy to blend but it's just not my favourite.

Contour in Truffle - Now! This product I love! The only contour I've tried is the sleek face contour which is a powder and I thought that was great until I found this. This contour is so creamy and easy to blend. It's a great colour for my skin tone.

Highlight in Rum - Rihanna has released a few highlighters and cream ones are the most subtle of the lot. If you are looking for something with a bit of wow than these aren't the highlighters for you. If you want wow then have a look at the powder highlighters here as I'm a fan of the natural look, this highlighter is perfect for me.

The last thing I bought was the lip gloss, the lip product in the whole collection. Again, the packaging is super cute and the wand is extra large which makes application a dream! The gloss is universal so it suits everyone.
The selling point of this product, hands down has to be the smell! It smells delicious, like cherries.

It's non-sticky and quite moisturising, I do like it but is it worth the £16 price tag? Probably not but I will use it as it's a lovely finishing touch to my makeup.

All in all, I really like the collection, the foundation and contour are my favourites.
The collection in all is reasonably priced, comes beautifully packaged and does exactly what it says on the bottle.
