There's No Place Like Home

"Home is not a place, It's a feeling..."

It's true what they say, there is truly no place like home and it's something you don't start to appreciate until you don't have it.
If you're new around these parts then you may not know that I live/work away so about 99% of time is spent away from my loved ones and my hometown. Don't get me wrong I have an amazing job and wouldn't change my experience for the world!
I have been able to see so much of the UK that if i'm honest I properly would have never seen but it does come with its downside, which is that I don't get to see my family as much as I would like (thank the lord for unlimited minutes and texts!)

When I do manage to get home for the odd day and a half I get, I try to treasure every moment I have. I didn't realise it was humanly possible to visit as many people as I do in such a short space of time but somehow I manage. It's amazing just what becomes important to you when you don't have it.

It's the little things that make a big difference.

  • My mum's cooking - I would kill for some macaroni pie right now...
  • Snapchat selfies with my nephews
  • Sleeping in my own bed
  • Smudge snuggles
  • Driving
  • Burning candles
  • Having my weekends
  • Chats with mum
  • Family meals
  • A fridge
  • Fresh raw juices
  • Making youtube videos
  • Picking my nephews up from school
  • Seeing my family
  • Leeds in general
and so much more....

I know life will take us away from home at time but I just want to reflect on the little things...
