Angelica

Food, along with travel is one of my big passions in life. I like going out and trying new dishes and restaurants, I'm all about discovering and there is nothing better than discovering some new in your home tome.
Being a Leeds girl, I am really proud of how far Leeds has come over the last few years! It is definitely a city on the rise and is fast becoming a hub of fashion, food and bars.

A few years ago, Leeds opened its doors to The Trinity Centre, which I've visited a number of times for a good old shopping trip but when it came to food I would just stick to my usual haunts like Wagamamas and Nandos, that was until Last Friday when I was back in Leeds for a family event.
I had a couple of hours free with my mum to start some Christmas shopping (how prepared am I this year) and to see the latest shopping centre to open its doors, Victoria Gate, which is gorgeous by the way!
As I haven't seen mum is a couple of months as I work away I thought I'd treat her and try Angelica. I'd heard a lot about it but I think the deciding factor was hearing how much Em loved this place so I just had to give it ago!

I don't know about you but when you have to get a lift to get to the entrance of a bar, don't you feel extra fancy? No, just me?
On arrival,  the staff were really nice, they showed us to a table and took our coats (I love it when a bar do that). The views from Angelica are amazing! If I didn't mention, it's a rooftop bar which in the summer would be lovely to sit out and soak up the sights of Leeds but it's a little too cold for me right now.

Angelica is a very modern, trendy bar, perfect for a celebration, date night, post shopping drinks with the girls, anything really. I can see why it's really popular. The drinks menu was pretty extensive, the cocktails sounded delicious (unfortunately I didn't get to sample any on this visit but it's a good excuse to go back, right) The food menu is about a page long, it has some nice options but it's not huge. I would really like to try the brunch options next time. On this occasion, I went for lobster frites and my mum had fish and chips.

I would highly recommend a visit to Angelica, it's a gorgeous bar with a social atmosphere. It's a little on the pricey side but it's 100% worth it! I will definitely be going back.

Have you been to Angelica? What did you think?
