What's In My Travel Makeup Bag

It's the final countdown for me guys! It's my last week at home before I packed up and leave for my new job! So the next few posts are going to be travel related (I apologise in advance if it is your cup of tea but normal blogging shall resume soon).

To kick start my week of travel - I thought I'd show you what makeup is going to be coming with.  If you have followed me for while either on my blog or youtube, you'll know I don't have a huge collection of makeup nor do I use it all to often but I do like to have it around on the days I want to make an effort.

When it comes to makeup, I'm pretty basic! It's just a base, a little contour, mascara and a lipstick. What can I say, I'm easily pleased. So let me talk you through my choices:

My skin is quite oily so a primer to mattify my complexion is an essential! Two I really like are the L'Oreal Infallible and The Body Shop Tea Tree Pore Minimiser. Both are affordable and work really well. I tend to use the tea tree a little more at the moment as my skin is breaking out but I love both equally.

I've decided to pack two, you know I like options. First up is the Dior BB cream in shade 004 which I picked up on my holiday to Aruba. I like this as an everyday base. It is a BB cream but it does supply a fair amount of coverage to my skin which I like. When I'm feeling more of a matte finish, I reach for my Dolce & Gabbana perfect matte. Again the coverage is lovely and it dries to a gorgeous matte on my skin. The D&G isn't one I hear too much about but if you can try it out I would definitely recommend it! To add some shape to my moon sized head, Sleek's Contour kit is really nice. The colour works for me and it's too harsh. It's lovely for everyday.

I love to keep my eyes simple and on an everyday basis I just reach for the eyelash curlers and add lashings of mascara (I love a lot of mascara) so my trusty Shu Uemura's will be making the trip along with my favourite mascara of the moment Makeup Forever's Smoky Lash. I'm packing the Naked palette for the rare just in case moments.

Now you may be surprised to just see one lipstick and a lipliner but they are hot stuff at the moment and definitely a favourite. I've being looking at brown lips for a while and if you read my post here about them then you'll know the Charlotte Tilbury lipstick and lipliner just had to make the cut. I may add another lipstick to the bag another day but if not I'm more than happy with just the one to be honest.

There you go, a sneak peek into my travel makeup bag. What do you take travelling with you?
