37 items..... I may have overestimated....

So, remember in this post when I said I was going to get my wardrobe down to 37 items... Yeah, about that so I may have overestimated just what that entailed. Trust me when I say it's a little bit of a culture shock when your wardrobe goes from overflowing to like 5 outfits worth of clothes.

As much as I like the method that unfancy uses, I think for my capsule wardrobe to work for me, I'm going to have to change my approach just a tad.

So why the change of heart? Well...

37 items is a very small wardrobe
As I mentioned above, 37 items isn't really a lot to choose from. I know one of the main reason why I started this journey was to get rid of that feeling that I had nothing to wear and minimise my stuff but I think even for me, 37 items is a little on the small side.
What can I say, I need options. Don't worry, I'm not going to allow my wardrobe to get where it was before and who knows as time goes on, I may get down to 37.

I live in the UK
As I said, I need options and living in the UK, it can be the most indecisive country when it comes to putting an outfit today. In one day, you can easily experience 4 types of weather and I need to be prepared for every element.
I think the way I'm trying to go with my wardrobe its minimal and classic but also practical.

So where am I going to take my journey now?

Well, I've already done the hard part and got rid of half my wardrobe. I'm now left with my collection of items that I love and want to wear. The next step for me is to look at what I have and find what I'm missing for example the perfect winter boots.

I still love the idea of only shopping for bits once a season so I'm definitely going to stick with that.

The new addition to my journey is to start looking into investment pieces so more, like a real leather jacket that will last for years or the all purpose bag that isn't going to fall to bits with my Mary Poppins ways.

I still have a very long way to go but this is where I'm at the moment...
Still a little messy but I'm still super proud... Everyone has to start somewhere, right?
